7:00 am, Time to leave busy Ho Chi Minh City behind and head to My Tho

To find out more about the life of local people in Mekong Delta.

My Tho is located at 80 km from Ho Chi Minh City, approximately 1.30 hour by car.

8:30 am, Visit “Mr Old Chocolate” local homemade factory.

Explore how to turn Organic cacao into delicious Organic Chocolate

Your first stop is a local chocolate factory where “Mr Old Chocolate” builds up his business not only to help local cacao producers sell their production, but also to bring Vietnames Cacao products to the rest of the world. There, you will have a chance to visit a cacao garden and learn more about the process to turn Organic cacao into delicious Organic Chocolate. Don’t forget to try a little dark and milk chocolate! Yummy!

9:30 am, embark on a boat at My Tho pier for a memorable cruise.

Arriving at My Tho, you will embark on a boat and begin a memorable cruise along the riverside, and then take a small Sampan to explore narrow canals boarded with water coconut trees (Nipa).

Along the way, you will stop at several places to discover more about local workshops where people process coconuts, produce rice paper, rice popcorn, coconut candies, honey…

At noon, enjoy a hearty and typical lunch with Mekong Delta dishes at a lovely local restaurant.

1:00 pm, head to Cu Chi to visit the amazing and well known Tunnels.

Cu Chi Tunnel

Cu Chi is located at 120 km from My Tho, which takes around 2 hours by car.

Then you will arrive at the tunnels were used as hiding spots during combat, as well as serving as communication and supply routes, hospitals, food and weapon. It played a great important role to Vietnamese soldiers during Vietnam War.
